We’re responding to needs around us, working for the common good, investing in the people of our community. Not through impersonal programs or institutions, but life-on-life; creating a legacy of respectful relationships, inviting friendships, and amazing partnerships. As Jesus did.
We’re realizing more and more that we need to change, not just be saved. Problem is, the harder we try, the more we fail. We’ve tried religion...can’t make the mark. But God understands our problem and solves it with the cross. It’s a gift whose cost we don’t fully appreciate. But Jesus did.
Look: it’s here now. Jesus said God’s reign is at hand and Jesus’ work is focusing the lens, bringing it into view. We’re a product of his work, citizens of God’s already and not yet kingdom. He says others will join us, so we’re pointing them his way, whenever and wherever we see him. Like Jesus did.
